Euphonium” from October 2 to October 8, 2026. This special 24-page, full-color booklet—a collection of original illustrations created by volunteer staff members at Kyoto Animation—will be distributed in limited quantities.

“Chikawa” Movie Support Screenings: Round 2 Expands to 12 Theaters and Takes Place on October 2!

The second “Let’s Make It Happen!” cheer screening for *Chikawa: The Secret of the Mermaid Island* has been confirmed, and the screening where audience members are encouraged to cheer aloud will be held simultaneously across 12 theaters in 8 prefectures nationwide starting at 7:00 PM on October 2, 2026. Cheer screenings featuring automated penlight effects will also be held for three consecutive days from October 16 to 18 at 7 theaters in 5 prefectures.

Two *Attack on Titan* Movies Confirmed for Screening in SCREEN X, 4DX, and Other Formats!

It has been announced that the theatrical releases of *Attack on Titan* Part 1: *The Red Lotus Bow and Arrow* and the finale, *THE LAST ATTACK*, will be screened in SCREEN X, 4DX, and ULTRA 4DX formats. Part 1 is scheduled to open on October 23, 2026, and the finale is scheduled for release in 2027; both announcements were made as part of the “99 Big News” segment on September 9, “Attack on Titan Day.”

“Sumikko Gurashi” Movie × Dai-Nagoya Building Event Starts September 15!

A “Sumikko Gurashi: The Kingdom in the Sky and the Two Little Ones” quest rally will be held from September 15 to October 14, 2026, at the Dai-Nagoya Building, which is directly connected to Nagoya Station. Participants will use their smartphones and the LINE Storyteller to navigate from B1 to the 5th floor and tackle five quests. An original merchandise pop-up store and photo spots will also be available during the event.

“Bungo Stray Dogs: DEAD APPLE” Returns to Theaters Starting December 25!

The 2018 film *Bungo Stray Dogs: DEAD APPLE* will be re-released for a limited time starting December 25, 2026, at 30 theaters nationwide to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the anime series. The “Let’s Make It Happen! Cheer Screening” of *Chikawa: The Secret of the Mermaid Island*—featuring automatically synchronized glow stick effects—will be held simultaneously at TOHO Cinemas in 7 theaters across 5 prefectures nationwide starting at 7:00 PM on September 23, 2026. This is a special screening where audience members can cheer aloud while using special glow sticks that change color in sync with the film. Tickets went on sale at midnight on September 2 via each theater’s website.

“Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter” Episode 5 Hits Theaters October 9! Available in 5 Formats

Episode 5 of the original anime “Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter,” produced by Actus, will be released in theaters starting Friday, October 9, 2026.
In addition to standard screenings, the film will be shown in five different formats—including the series’ first-ever Dolby Cinema screenings—at over 175 theaters nationwide, depicting the final match between Oarai Girls’ High School and St. Gloriana Girls’ Academy.

Pokémon: Wild Card to Be Released in 2027! Teaser Trailer Unveiled for First Feature-Length Anime in 7 Years

It has been announced that “Pokémon: Wild Card,” the first Pokémon feature-length animated film in seven years, will be released worldwide starting in 2027.
This will be the first Pokémon film in history to be based on the Pokémon Card Game. Katsuhiko Kitada, who served as an animation director on *THE FIRST SLAM DUNK*, will direct the film; Akemi Hayashi will handle character design; and CloverWorks will be responsible for animation production.
