“The Summer Hikari Died”: Newly Illustrated Merchandise Featuring Hikari in Denim Heading to the Beach—On Sale in October!

Based on the popular manga by Mokumoku Ren, the anime *The Summer the Light Died* will see new, original merchandise released by Saipiku in late September 2026.

The theme of these newly drawn illustrations is the five characters heading to the beach in denim outfits.

Their casual outfits, which seem like a natural extension of their daily lives, are striking—as if capturing a snapshot of a summer memory for Yoshinori Tsujinaka, Hikaru, and the others.

The newly drawn illustrations feature Asako Yamagishi with her hand to her cheek as she gazes at the sky, as well as Hikaru, Yuta Maki, and Yuki Tadokoro eating ice cream.
Amidst them, Yoshiki is the only one walking with beads of sweat on his forehead, clutching an empty ice cream wrapper in his hand.
Each character’s unique personality is captured through exquisite details.

A standout among the merchandise is the “Glitter Acrylic Keychain,” which allows you to enjoy the realistic cityscape through its transparent design.
While the keychain features the characters and a refreshing seaside scene, the clear background also reveals a somewhat ominous pattern.
