Details on “Kaiju Booska: Heartwarming Shopping District”
The “Heartwarming Shopping District,” a pop-up shop for “Kaiju Booska”—a series that continues to be loved more than half a century after its original broadcast—is opening for a limited time at Lumine Est Shinjuku. New original items have been introduced, and the lineup features a wide variety of new merchandise brimming with Booska’s charm.
This milestone event marks the 60th anniversary of the series’ debut in 1966, and November 9—Booska’s birthday—falls during the event period.
Belly & Back Series
This series features merchandise inspired by Booska’s most charming features—his fluffy belly and back patterns, and his curly tail. Items like the tote bag and drawstring pouch with a faux fur belly, as well as the mini pouch with a carabiner, are so soft and inviting you’ll want to touch them.
Also available are A5 clear files featuring the back pattern, A4 clear files featuring the belly pattern, and B6 ring-bound notebooks!
Underwater Pants Series
A series featuring the striped underwater pants pattern worn by Booska in the show. The design combines light blue stripes with a “BARASA! BARASA!” patch and includes a range of everyday items such as tote bags, drawstring pouches, flat pouches with charms, and hand towels.
Booska & Chame-gon Series
This series features a retro design depicting Booska’s origin story in English, as well as a “SIDE by SIDE” design showing Booska and Chamegon side by side. The collection includes T-shirts (S/M/L/XL), bandanas, two types of tote bags, acrylic keychains, and pin badges! Sticker sets (2 varieties total) will also be available for purchase at the same time.
Blind Box Pin Badges & Blind Box Acrylic Keychains
As part of our “surprise” blind box lineup, we’re introducing “Blind Box Pin Badges” (9 varieties plus a secret design) and “Blind Box Acrylic Keychains” (10 varieties)!
