An event commemorating the 15th anniversary of Sanrio’s character “Wish Me Mel” will be held at Sanrio Character Harmony Land in Oita starting September 18, 2026.
Wish Me Mel will make an appearance in a new Lolita-style costume featuring lace, frills, and flowers!
In addition, to coincide with her birthday on September 20, a “Birthday Pass” that comes with a limited-edition giveaway will also be on sale.

From character greetings and photo spots to limited-edition merchandise and food, 10 different attractions will be featured across the park.
“Letter to Connect with Everyone,” where you’ll receive a reply when you send a letter, is a long-term campaign running through March 31, 2027!
New Anniversary Costume
A Lolita-style dress adorned with plenty of lace, frills, and flowers.
Another highlight is the rainbow-colored petticoat that matches her signature “rainbow tail”!
Anniversary Greeting Show
A greeting show where you can meet Wish Me Mel in her new costume will be held at Harmony Village.
The event will take place on select dates between September 18 and November 10, 2026; the schedule will be announced at a later date.
Birthday Pass
To celebrate her birthday on September 20, “Birthday Pass” featuring limited-edition giveaways.
It will be on sale from September 18 to September 26, 2026, at the Character Greeting Fan Studio!
Special Greeting
A paid event where you can take photos and videos with Wish Me Mel for about 1 minute per participation ticket.
The participation fee is 3,500 yen, and each participation ticket comes with one free gift!

A participatory project where you write a letter to Wish Me Mel and drop it in the red mailbox next to the garden.
You’ll receive a reply from Wish Me Mel at a later date, and illustrations—chosen from a total of 5 designs—will be distributed randomly, with 1 to 3 designs per month.
