A collaboration between JR Central’s “Oshi-Tabi” campaign and “Sumikko Gurashi”—the wildly popular character series created by San-X, known for its charmingly slightly negative and surreal world—will begin on November 2, 2026.

In addition to AR photo frames and original smartphone wallpapers that can be enjoyed aboard the Tokaido Shinkansen, passengers will receive acrylic mini charms as a boarding bonus and have the chance to win mini tote bags through a raffle.

JR Tokai is launching a collaboration called “Oshi-Tabi” that lets you enjoy a trip on the Tokaido Shinkansen with the Sumikko characters. By participating in content available exclusively on board, you’ll receive benefits such as AR photo frames, wallpapers, onboard perks, and the chance to enter a raffle.

If you ride the Tokaido Shinkansen and access the campaign site, you can collect all 6 types of AR photo frames in a single trip. When you collect an AR photo frame, you’ll also receive an original smartphone wallpaper (1 design) as a gift.

*Account registration (free) is required; limited to one account per person.
*AR photo frames can be used until 11:59 PM on the day after your ride. On the final day (January 31) only, they are available until 11:59 PM on that day.
*Wallpapers can be downloaded until 11:59 PM on January 31, 2027. Sharing on social media is prohibited.
* Access may not be available on certain sections, such as between Tokyo Station and Shin-Yokohama Station, if the train does not reach a certain speed.
* Location information may not be obtained when using in-app browsers on apps such as LINE, X, and Instagram.

Participants in the onboard content will receive one random acrylic mini charm (6 varieties total) as a gift. Obtain your boarding pass and show the redemption screen to staff at the redemption location.

*The boarding pass is valid until 11:59 PM on the day after it is issued. On the final day (January 31), it is valid only on that day.
* You can obtain a boarding certificate only once per day, and redemption is limited to once per person per day. Redemption by a proxy is not permitted.
* Screenshots cannot be used for redemption. Please present the redemption screen while connected to the internet.
*The promotion ends when supplies run out. Redemption is not available on days the facility is closed.

After participating in the in-train content, you can enter the prize drawing from the content’s top page. Fifty winners will be selected by lottery to receive an original mini tote bag, and results will be announced immediately.

*You may enter the drawing once per day, as many times as you like during the campaign period. Each person may win only once.
*Prizes are scheduled to be shipped starting in mid-February 2027; shipping is limited to within Japan.
*You will be required to provide personal information after winning.
