To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the TV anime “Squid Girl,” produced by Sunrise and broadcast in 2001, the special edition book “Squid Girl 20th ANNIVERSARY BOOK”—featuring setting materials from the TV series and theatrical film, as well as interviews with the cast and staff interviews—will go on sale on October 4, 2021!
In addition to the TV series, the book features character and story introductions for the theatrical anime films “Squall: Alteration TAO” and “Squall: Alteration QUAN,” as well as newly shot photos of related merchandise such as figures.
It also features a roundtable discussion with director Goro Taniguchi, screenwriter Yosuke Kuroda, visual concept artist Noriyuki Jinguji, and design works supervisor Yasuyasu Moriki, as well as interviews and comments from the cast and staff, including Soichiro Hoshi, who voiced the protagonist “Kazuma.”
Furthermore, it includes a completely new novel written by screenwriter Ippo Hyodo and illustrated by manga artist Yasunari Toda.
The cover illustration is an original piece by character designer Hisashi Hirai. The design embodies *Scryed* as “a story of men who speak with their fists.”
