This fireworks display was originally scheduled for July 25 but was canceled due to inclement weather. It has now been rescheduled and will take place as part of “Yokohama Night Flowers,” an event that illuminates the night sky over Yokohama.

The fireworks display will take place for 5 minutes, from 7:00 PM to 7:05 PM. This one-day-only collaborative fireworks display is brought to you through the special sponsorship of Matsumoto Kiyoshi Co., Ltd. and Cocokara Fine.

This collaborative fireworks display is being held as part of the “Chiikawa: The Movie—The Secret of the Mermaid Island” in Yokohama collaboration.
This collaboration took place from Friday, July 24, 2026, to Sunday, August 2, 2026, and featured three initiatives: an original sticker giveaway campaign, photo spots throughout the city, and a special collaborative fireworks display. The fireworks to be launched this time are a rescheduled event originally planned for July 25.

“Yokohama Night Flowers” is a Yokohama City initiative that features a 5-minute fireworks display in the night sky over Yokohama.
In fiscal year 2026, the event will feature approximately 30 display dates—the highest number to date and the largest scale in the Tokyo metropolitan area—aiming to build momentum and excitement for “GREEN×EXPO 2027 (2027 International Horticultural Exposition),” which will be held in 2027. This initiative allows visitors to enjoy Yokohama’s events and sightseeing during the day, and in the evening, to experience dinner or sightseeing cruises while watching fireworks, all complemented by the night views from waterfront attractions.
Yokohama has been recognized as one of “Japan’s New Three Cities with the Best Night Views,” and the ability to enjoy its beautiful night views alongside fireworks is a major attraction.

Important Notes for Viewing the Chikawa “Collaboration Fireworks”

There are a few points to keep in mind when viewing the fireworks.
First, the event may be canceled depending on the weather conditions on the day, such as rain. For fireworks scheduled to launch at 7:00 PM, announcements regarding whether the event will proceed are scheduled to be posted on the official website at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM (Posting times are subject to change depending on weather conditions, etc.).
