Introduction and Prologue for the Theatrical Anime “A Youth Like a Pig Doesn’t Dream of a Dear Friend”
Introduction
The boy will eventually grow into a man. The adolescent fantasy series comes to a grand conclusion.
The “Aobuta” series—a coming-of-age drama that depicts the emotions of adolescence, which resonate with modern audiences, through mysterious phenomena—has finally come to an end. The high school arc and college student arcs—the remaining mysteries surrounding the “Adolescent Syndrome,” which have been depicted throughout the series, are finally unraveled.
With the continued involvement of a talented team—including original author Hajime Kamoshida, director Soichi Masui, scriptwriter Masahiro Yokoya, character designer Satomi Tamura, and animation studio CloverWorks—the “concluding story of Youth Pork Boy,” set in Fujisawa and Yokohama, unfolds.
Prologue
“Actually, I’m Toko Kirishima.”
The audience erupts in excitement upon learning that the true identity of the mysterious, wildly popular internet singer is none other than national actress Mai Sakurajima. The scene is exactly the same as the dream Sakuta Azusagawa had on Christmas Eve—
On April 1, following Mai’s shocking confession , the improbable events that everyone once saw in their dreams begin to unfold one after another. The social media hashtag “#Dreaming,” through which dreams became reality, vanishes, and as Sakuta struggles with the disconnect between the reality before his eyes and his own perception, he receives a message from a version of himself in an alternate world.
–Please stop Toko Kirishima
–Before reality gets rewritten
