“BEST OF ANIME,” a best-of album featuring the complete collection of anime songs by the rock band “SPYAIR”—known for their numerous anime theme songs—will be released on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
In addition to their latest song “Awake” and “Orange,” which has surpassed 200 million total streams, the album features a total of 17 tracks, including self-covers of anime theme songs recorded by the current lineup since their major-label debut. The limited-edition version is priced at 11,000 yen (tax included) , while the standard edition is 3,500 yen (tax included).

This best-of album compiles all the anime tie-in songs SPYAIR has produced to date onto a single disc. Disc 1 features a total of 17 tracks, and the strictly limited edition also includes Disc 2—a Blu-ray featuring live footage.

One point worth noting is how the tracks are handled. Anime theme songs released since 2023—when the band adopted its current lineup—are included as-is, but the anime theme songs they’ve performed since their major-label debut in 2010 are are included as self-covers re-recorded under the current lineup. Since this is not a compilation of previously released tracks in their original form, this is an important point to keep in mind before purchasing.

Disc 1 (CD) Track List

The tie-in works are primarily from “Gintama” The lineup centers on series such as “Haikyū!!” and “Mobile Suit Gundam,” but also includes a wide range of titles, from the latest releases like “The Exiled Reincarnated Heavy Knight Dominates with His Gaming Knowledge” and “Blue Miburo.” Note that track 08, “Scramble,” is not from an anime; it is the theme song for the PlayStation 4 / PlayStation Vita game “Gintama Ranbu.”

Disc 2 (Blu-ray) *Limited Edition Only

Disc 2 of the Limited Edition features footage from the live concert “SPYAIR TOUR 2026 – RE-BIRTH -” held at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on May 14, 2026. In addition to the 20 songs total—comprising the 17 main set songs plus 3 encore songs—it also includes “BEHIND THE SCENES,” which captures behind-the-scenes footage from the event.

The standard edition does not include a Blu-ray. If you want the live footage, you’ll need to choose the strictly limited edition.

Differences Between the Strictly Limited Edition and the Standard Edition

The price difference is 7,500 yen, which covers the cost of the Blu-ray and the three-sided box.

The Complete Limited Edition (AICL-4962–4963) is priced at 11,000 yen (tax included), and the Standard Edition (AICL-4964) is 3,500 yen (tax included). Digital streaming and downloads will also begin on the same day.

SPYAIR is a Japanese rock band that made its major-label debut in 2010. Centered around a straightforward band sound and soaring vocals, they have performed theme songs for numerous anime series.
