Synopsis of “Medalist: The Movie”

Inori Ketsu, who harbors a strong passion for figure skating but has been unable to seize the chance to pursue her dream, meets Roji Aoura, who is in a similar situation, and they team up as skater and coach.
As the two gradually begin to make a name for themselves, they finally win the Chubu Block Tournament and earn the right to compete in the All-Japan Novice Championships.
For Inori, this meant she would face her greatest rival, Hikaru Okizaki—the very goal she had been striving toward—for the first time. For Tsukasa, it meant facing Jun Yata, Hikaru’s personal coach, in direct competition.
The day of the All-Japan Novice Championships finally arrived. Rumors circulated that Inori would attempt a quadruple jump during the official practice session, drawing the attention of many.
Armed with their strong bond, Inori and Tsukasa take on the championship showdown. What kind of performance will they deliver on the grand stage of the ice—!?

Roji Aoura (Voiced by: Tsuyoshi Otsuka)

Assistant coach at Lux Higashiyama FSC. Having started skating himself in middle school, he empathizes with Inori’s circumstances and passion, and devotes himself entirely to her development. He constantly seeks out what is necessary to make Inori a medalist, growing as a coach in the process.

Hikaru Okizaki (CV: Kana Ichinose)

The gold medalist at the previous year’s All-Japan Novice Championships, she is a “prodigy” whose strength lies in her high-difficulty jump combinations. She recognizes Inori—who challenges her head-on—as a rival and was looking forward to competing against her in this tournament. She places absolute trust in her coach, Yotaka.

Jun Yata (Voiced by: Yuma Uchida)

A genius skater who has won gold medals in every competition he has entered, including the Olympics. He retired from active competition at age 20 and currently serves as Hikaru’s exclusive coach behind the scenes. He is determined to have Hikari follow in his footsteps and has declared to Tsukasa that she will become the gold medalist in every competition.
