Details of the Matsuken Samba “Matsuken-Filled Island: Autumn Campaign”
Yokohama’s Hakkeijima Sea Paradise has been hosting the “Matsuken-Filled Island: Summer Campaign,” during which the entire island is transformed into a Matsuken-themed wonderland.
In response to requests from visitors who were unable to attend due to bad weather during the Obon season and who hoped the event would continue, it has been decided to continue the event as the “Matsuken Mamire Mamire Island: Autumn Campaign” starting Tuesday, September 8, 2026!
Based on the concept of “Matsuken everywhere you go” and “Matsuken Samba in everything you do,” the entire island—including the amusement park and aquarium—will be transformed into a space where your sight, sound, and every experience are enveloped in Matsuken.

For the Autumn Campaign, six new attractions and experiences will be added to the content featured in the Summer Campaign.

Matsuken-Covered Bus
The shuttle bus that tours the park will be transformed into the “Matsuken-Covered Bus,” completely “covered” with Matsuken’s face.

The tank where the balloonfish—known for their perfectly round bodies—live also gets a Matsuken makeover this fall.

Matsuken Samba “Matsuken Mamire Mamire Island: Autumn Campaign” – Matsuken’s “Super Sunny” Prayer
On the first day, Tuesday, September 8, the “Matsuken Super Sunny Prayer” will be held with Ken Matsudaira himself as a guest.
During the “Prayer for Sunny Weather” held last Golden Week, despite a 100% chance of rain in the forecast, the rain stopped just before the prayer performance began, resulting in a record of “11 wins and 1 loss”—with 11 out of the 12 days during the event being sunny “—with 11 out of 12 days being sunny.
This time, in hopes of clear skies nationwide during Silver Week, the prayer performance will be conducted from a 15-meter-high aerial work platform. Approximately 50 park visitors will also wear Matsuken masks and perform an original song—an arrangement of “Matsuken Samba II”—titled “Praying for Sunny Weather: Matsuken All Over, All Over♪ Sunny!”
