A fair commemorating the streaming of the original short anime “Narumi’s Weekdays” from the anime ‘Kaiju No. 8’ will be held starting Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Animate stores nationwide and via Animate Online.
During the event period, customers who purchase or pre-order “Kaiju No. 8” merchandise will receive a set of fair-exclusive “postcards (5 varieties total)” as a gift. The lineup features visuals of Gen Narumi in his Defense Force suit and uniform, in addition to stills from the main anime series.

The fair bonus is “Postcards (5 varieties total).” In addition to character art of Gen Narumi, designs featuring scenes from the anime series are also available. You cannot choose which bonus you receive, and the offer ends once supplies run out, even during the event period.

The original short anime “Narumi’s Weekdays,” commemorating this event, will be streamed starting Saturday, September 5, 2026, on the YouTube channel “TOHO animation” and other platforms.
One episode will be released every Saturday, for a total of 4 episodes.
The story concept is by Tsukasa Watanabe, creator of the spin-off manga “Kaiju No. 8 RELAX” currently serialized in “Saikyo Jump,” and it depicts the daily life of Gen Narumi, the strongest man in the Japan Defense Force.
