A pop-up shop featuring original merchandise based on illustrations from Junji Ito’s works—“Junji Ito POP-UP SHOP ‘Manazashi’”—is coming soon!

Starting Friday, September 18, 2026, at Tower Records Shibuya, the pop-up will tour three locations—including the Abeno Hoop store in Osaka and the Fukuoka Parco store in Fukuoka—featuring original merchandise displayed within a space designed to embody the concept of “Gaze.”

A pop-up shop featuring original merchandise based on illustrations from the works of horror manga artist Junji Ito The “Junji Ito POP-UP SHOP ‘Gaze’” will be held on a rotating basis starting Friday, September 18, 2026, at three Tower Records locations (Shibuya, Abeno Hoop, and Fukuoka Parco).

At this event, featuring numerous masterpieces such as his iconic work “Tomie” “The Handsome Boy at the Four-Way Intersection,” and “The Hanging Balloon,” featuring apparel items that graphically reinterpret the original illustrations! A stylish original collection will be available, allowing you to “wear” the world of these works.

The “Gaze” Concept Is Expressed Throughout the Entire Space! Mirrored Areas and Photo Spots Also Make an Appearance

At the venue, the project’s concept of “Gaze” is expressed throughout the entire space, featuring decorations and photo spots that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the world of Junji Ito.

In the mirrored area—the symbol of this event—countless of Tomie’s “eyes” appear across an entire wall. Through a display where they gaze back at visitors through the mirrors, you can experience the concept of “gazing/being gazed at” throughout the entire space. Additionally, photo spots where you can take pictures with Tomie have been set up.

Merchandise Lineup for “Junji Ito POP UP SHOP ‘Manasashi’”

The venue will feature a wide range of original merchandise, from collectibles like pin badges, stickers, and acrylic keychains to apparel and fashion accessories such as T-shirts, hoodies, and tote bags!

Collectibles, acrylic stands, and tin mirrors are now available!

Trading items featuring the cover art—such as matte pin badges and acrylic keychains—as well as stickers adorned with onomatopoeia and acrylic blocks that let you enjoy 3D versions of panels from the original manga will be available!

Additionally, the lineup will include an acrylic diorama stand of Tomie, a small accessory case, an acrylic clip featuring the “Hanging Balloon,” and a Tomie tin mirror.

Apparel items such as T-shirts, hoodies, and tote bags are now available!

T-shirts featuring “Long Hair in the Attic” and “Town of Tombstones,” long-sleeve T-shirts featuring “Tomie” and “The Hanging Balloon,” and Tomie hoodies—apparel items that let you “wear” the world of these works are now available!

The lineup also includes tote bags featuring “The Beautiful Boy at the Four-Way Intersection,” mini tote bags adorned with the “Gaze” motif, and a Tomie multi-purpose pouch.

For every 3,300 yen spent on eligible items, you’ll receive one random “Original Bromide”!

During the event period, for every 3,300 yen (tax included) , you’ll receive one random [purchase bonus original bromide (6 varieties total)] as a gift.

The bromides come in two design sets—“POP UP ver.” and “web sales ver.”—each featuring a lineup of six color illustrations by Junji Ito.

Quantities are limited, so this offer will end once supplies run out. Eligibility is based on the total amount per transaction; amounts from multiple transactions cannot be combined. Since items are distributed at random, you cannot choose the design, and reselling the bonus items is prohibited.
