A new release with an unprecedented presence has emerged from the popular collaboration between “Hatsune Miku,” the virtual singer who enjoys explosive popularity both in Japan and abroad, and “Katsushika Hokusai,” one of Japan’s most renowned ukiyo-e artists.

The “Wa-Modern” Piapro Characters, illustrated by Rella, are now being released as a set of six “skateboard decks.”

You might be wondering, “Why skateboards?”

Believe it or not, this special item was designed not just for riding, but also to serve as interior decor to brighten up your room’s walls.

The artwork, painted on an oversized wooden canvas measuring approximately 80.1 cm × 20.3 cm, exudes a substantial presence that sets it apart from posters and acrylic stands.

The lineup features all six Piapro Characters: Hatsune Miku, KAITO, MEIKO, Megurine Luka, Kagamine Rin, and Kagamine Len.

Let’s take a look at the appeal of these “skateboard decks” that can completely transform the atmosphere of your room.

Modern Japanese art, 80 cm tall. Choose from all 6 varieties of “Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji” to suit your display space

The standout feature is the brilliant harmony between the street-style skateboard deck shape and Hokusai’s traditional ukiyo-e prints.

Hatsune Miku and KAITO, set against the backdrop of “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” with its dancing spray, exude a dynamic energy.
There’s also Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Ren sitting against the backdrop of “Three Slopes of Koshu on the Water,” MEIKO in “Clear Day with a South Wind” featuring the eye-catching Red Fuji, and Megurine Luka in “Fuji at Gotenzan on the Tokaido Road,” which depicts cherry blossoms in full bloom.
Each character’s signature color harmonizes beautifully with the original ukiyo-e artwork, while the English-lettered logo on the bottom of the deck adds just the right touch of street style.

Of course, you can display your favorite character on its own, but arranging multiple decks side by side to create your “very own Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji gallery” is a truly luxurious way to enjoy them.

Each deck is priced at 22,000 yen (tax included). Made from 7-ply Canadian maple and manufactured in the same factory as top-tier brands, these skate decks offer professional-grade quality.

You can turn them into wall art using a standard wall hook (deck hanger), or take them out onto the streets for a ride.
We hope you’ll enjoy the world created by Hokusai and the singers in your own unique style.
