The event will feature a world championship, stage performances, limited-edition merchandise, as well as the distribution of three special gifts for attendees.

Gundam 50th Anniversary Event “GUNDAM-Con” to Be Held at Makuhari Messe Starting January 9, 2027!
The first edition of “GUNDAM-Con,” a celebration event marking the 50th anniversary of the Gundam series, will be held from Saturday, January 9, 2027, through Monday, January 11, 2027 (a national holiday), in Halls 1–3 at Makuhari Messe.
The concept is “Creating Together with Our Fans” . Creators from the Gundam series will participate, and the event will feature exhibits and hands-on experience areas that allow visitors to deeply enjoy the works.
The world championships for plastic models, trading cards, and games—which were previously held separately—will now come together in Makuhari. Since the initial announcement, the venue has been expanded, and the event will now take place in Halls 1–3 of Makuhari Messe.
GUNDAM-Con2027 Admission Tickets and Lottery Schedule
Admission is paid, and entry is by time-slot lottery. All attendees in elementary school and older must have an admission ticket.

The name on the reservation must be that of the person attending the event. If you purchase two tickets, your companion must either attend with you or have the tickets transferred to them in advance.
For each person presenting both a disability certificate or a certificate for recipients of specific medical expenses (for designated intractable diseases) and a ticket, one caregiver aged 18 or older may accompany them and enter without a ticket.

GUNDAM-Con Special Tote Bag
This is an original tote bag featuring the main visual design. It measures W500 × H400 × D150 mm, making it large enough to hold merchandise purchased at the venue.
Eco-Pla 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Assembly Workshop Ver.
Eco-Pla is a a kit made from recycled plastic—including used runners and plastic waste generated during the production of plastic models.
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal Original In-Game Items
Includes 1 Premium Gacha Ticket and an in-game title.
Attendee gifts will be distributed at the venue on the day of the event. They will not be mailed at a later date, and requests for missed pickups made after entry will not be honored. If you attend on a date other than the one for which you were selected, gifts will not be distributed to preschool-aged children without tickets or their caregivers.
In addition, giveaways are scheduled at various booths within the venue.

To watch the stage performances from a seated area, you will need a “Stage Viewing Number” in addition to your admission ticket. “GUNDAM-Con Exclusive Creator Illustrations” (reproduced illustrations) featuring artwork by creators associated with the Gundam series will be on sale each day. Purchasers will be able to attend a signing session with the creator who produced that illustration.

GUNDAM-Con 2027 Exhibits and Hands-On Areas
GUNDAM-Con Special Content
A giant balloon of the “Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam” will appear inside the venue, accompanied by a show featuring video projections and lighting effects.
A “Digital Message Corner” will also be set up. Messages posted at the venue and those submitted via the social media campaign will be incorporated into the on-site displays.
“GUNDAM Road to 50th” Booth
This booth is themed after “The Boy and Gundam,” the prologue movie for the Gundam 50th Anniversary Project. The space is designed to allow visitors to experience the Gundam story firsthand.
Exhibitor Booths
Sunrise, Gunpla, Gundam Assemble, TAMASHII NATIONS, Gundam Card Game, Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Commander, BANDAI / BANDAI SPIRITS, Bandai Namco Entertainment, and Bandai Namco Experience will each have booths at the event.
Depending on crowd conditions, numbered tickets may be distributed or participation may be restricted. Giveaways at each booth will end once supplies run out.
