Dragon Quest “Slime Crisis” and “Metal Slime Crisis” Details

The classic party game “Blackbeard’s Peril,” a favorite since its 1975 release, has teamed up with “Dragon Quest.”

The figurines that get stuck in the barrel have been reimagined as Slimes and Metal Slimes, and the swords used to stab the barrel have been reimagined as the series’ legendary weapon, “Roto’s Sword.”

They will go on sale starting Saturday, October 24, 2026, at a suggested retail price of 3,850 yen each (tax included).

How to Play

Flip the switch on the barrel, place the figurine inside, and then hold the figurine by the head and spin it around inside the barrel.

Spinning the figurine changes the position of the hole it pops out of every time, so you can never predict where it will land, no matter how many times you play.

Then, take turns inserting one Loto Sword at a time—the person whose figurine pops out wins!

*When inserting the Sword of Loto, push it firmly all the way to the base until you hear a sound.
*Different sounds play each time you insert the Sword of Loto.

Lively Sounds♪ Slime in a Pinch

This item is a three-dimensional representation of the series’ iconic monster—a combination of a blue slime and a wood-grain barrel.

When you thrust a sword into it, it plays the spell sound “Tura-ra-ra-ra” and the attack-miss sound “Turu-ru… Boron!”, and when the Slime pops out, it bounces up lightly with a “Shuuun” sound.

Lively Sound♪ Metal Slime Close Call

This set features a metallic Metal Slime paired with a black barrel, and the Sword of Loto also has a subdued color scheme of gray, yellow, red, and blue.

The sound effects include the “Tiro” sound for a missed attack and the “Zazazazaz!” sound for escaping, plus the “Zubabababan!” sound for a critical hit when it bursts out.
