The “Pokémon and Art: Environmental Education Exhibition in Yaesu,” featuring Pokémon art created by students at Tama Art University from unwanted items and scrap materials, will be held from September 18 to September 27, 2026, in the Atrium on the first floor of Tokyo Midtown Yaesu. In addition to a display of 53 Pokémon figures, the exhibition will feature works made from marine plastic waste and highlight related initiatives. Admission is free.

“Legendary Research in Nihonbashi & Yaesu,” where you can encounter Legendary Pokémon, will be held from Wednesday, September 9, 2026, through Sunday, November 29, 2026. While the statues and decorations are free to enjoy, there will also be paid puzzle challenges and a total of 14 types of event-exclusive merchandise available.

The lineup includes track jackets (3,299 yen, tax included) and track pants (2,529 yen, tax included) featuring eight Pokémon: Druddigon, Unown, Tamazara, Nuo, Mimikyu, Gengar, Blissey, and Snorlax.

Bandai’s Gashapon series, “Pokémon: Grab and Connect Mascots 16,” will be released in October 2026. New additions include Blastoise and Blastoise (the evolved forms of Squirtle) and Slowbro (the evolved form of Slowpoke). The series will feature a total of 10 varieties across two versions—Ball Chain Ver. and Lobster Clasp Ver.—with each play costing 300 yen (tax included).

Featuring artwork depicting Munchlax, Nyaabi, and Ashimari sleeping atop a Mantine floating in the ocean off the Alola region, the lineup includes a total of six items, such as A4 clear files, acrylic blocks, and a nap set consisting of a blanket and pillow.

It has been announced that “Pokémon: Wild Card,” the first Pokémon feature-length animated film in seven years, will be released worldwide starting in 2027.
This will be the first Pokémon film in history to be based on the Pokémon Card Game. Katsuhiko Kitada, who served as an animation director on *THE FIRST SLAM DUNK*, will direct the film; Akemi Hayashi will handle character design; and CloverWorks will be responsible for animation production.
Merchandise
The third collaboration between the loungewear brand “gelato pique” and Pokémon, titled “Pokémon meets GELATO PIQUE,” will launch on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
A key feature of the collection is that the designs evolve from Pichu to Pikachu to Raichu as the size increases, and Pippi and Marill are making their debut in the line. Prices range from 1,650 yen to 19,690 yen (tax included).
Merchandise
Gourmandises will release the “Multi-Ring Plus with Clear Carabiner,” a “Pokémon” smartphone accessory, in early November 2026.
The set includes four designs: Ditto, Yadon, Litten (Alola Form), and Umbreon, each priced at 1,848 yen (tax included). Pre-orders are being accepted at Anime Store.JP (Anist) until Sunday, September 6, 2026.
