“Natsume’s Book of Friends” Cafe in Osaka to Open in Two Phases Starting September 30!

A collaboration café featuring the TV anime “Natsume’s Book of Friends”—based on the manga by Yuki Midorikawa, currently serialized in *LaLa* (Hakusensha) and brimming with tenderness and poignancy—will be held at the motto cafe Osaka branch from September 30 to November 29, 2026.

As part of a project commemorating the 50th anniversary of *LaLa*’s launch, the event will feature collaboration menu items that change between the first and second halves of the event period, as well as collaboration merchandise featuring newly drawn illustrations.

Natsume’s Book of Friends “Collaboration Cafe Osaka” Event Overview

It has been announced that the “Natsume’s Book of Friends” Collaboration Café will open in Osaka to commemorate the 50th anniversary of LaLa’s launch.

The event period is divided into two phases, and the menu and order bonuses will change for each phase.

Natsume’s Book of Friends “Collaboration Cafe Osaka” First Half Menu

The first half of the event features a total of 16 items: 9 food and dessert items, 6 drinks, and 1 takeout item.

Some menu items come with manga panel cards.

Nine new items will be introduced during the second half of the event.

While some menu items from the first half will remain, new items exclusive to the second half—such as the ground meat rice bowl, parfaits, and hotcakes—will be added.

How to Make Reservations for the “Natsume’s Book of Friends Collaboration Café Osaka”

Visits are on a first-come, first-served basis; reservations must be made via the “Collaboration Café Tokyo” app or website.

Reservations for the first half of the event period will open on September 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM.

* Reservations must be made by the person who will be visiting the store
*At check-in, you will be asked to present both your reservation screen and a photo ID (driver’s license, student ID, My Number Card, passport, etc.)
*You will not be allowed to enter the store if you cannot present your reservation screen. Foreign nationals must present a passport
*If more than 20 minutes have passed since your reservation time , your reservation will be treated as canceled
* Transferring or reselling seats is prohibited
* If you are unable to visit, you must cancel via your My Page

Natsume’s Book of Friends “Collaboration Cafe Osaka” Store Information

The venue, motto cafe Osaka, is located on Shinsaibashi-suji.

You can call to check same-day reservation availability or report last-minute cancellations, but we do not accept reservations by phone.
